See https://sourceforge.net/p/wsjt/mailman/message/37019565/ for details and https://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/Release_Notes.txt for release notes.
Bug fixes and some random improvements, like:
I have an eBay saved search for “roller inductor”, just so I don’t miss any bargains (😂).
These things are so expensive, but look gorgeous. 1.5kW ATU anyone?
Oooh, you can use rigctld-wsjtx to toggle a GPIO pin for PTT, with WTJT-X
https://sourceforge.net/p/wsjt/mailman/message/37008737/
So, you could use a PI (or whatever) without yet another serial device, although you’d want some external circuitry i think.
I think I’ll stick to my working setup for now! And pronouncing rigctld “rigcuttle d” 😂

FT8 decoding speed increases could be good for Pi users.

Including this cool Log spiral antenna I found: https://www.tindie.com/browse/DIY-Wireless/ and a little bit about bottle transmitters.

I’m glad I’m able to keep working from home and ignore these bizarre mixed messages, but wish we weren’t stuck with this bunch of idiots in charge!

found via https://blog.erratasec.com/2019/05/some-raspberry-pi-compatible-computers.html
There are so many alternatives, but ease of access, support and hardware variety make the Pi an good choice.
I’m also really tempted to add an SSD to my Pi 4, after seeing https://jamesachambers.com/raspberry-pi-4-usb-boot-config-guide-for-ssd-flash-drives/
→ View toot on mastodon.radioI finally posted my WSJT-X + Raspberry Pi setup guide:

I’ve been meaning to write this for two years but only just got around to it! There’s nothing ground breaking here but people might find it useful 🤞🏻
